Change is Unavoidable When a Believer encounters the Holy Spirit

The message of the Gospel was intended for the whole world!  Jesus died not only for the Jews but for all who believe in his name!  Jesus said to his disciples, “But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere–in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Interestingly however, the initial days of the church, many of the Jewish Christians thought that salvation was only through the Jews and for the Jews.  God had to come down and change that mind set which was exclusive.  What a privilege it is to know that the Holy Spirit descended upon the church in Caesarea and changed that notion.  From there the Gospel started spreading to all the world, even to Armenia and to Armenians.

Peter at the time the leader of the church received a direct message from the Lord and his perspective changed.  He began to preach to the gentiles and realized that they too were part of the salvation plan of God.  (Acts 10 and 11)

This Sunday we look at how a person changes when he or she encounters the Holy Spirit in His or her life.  Please come and be a part of what God will do in your life when you encounter the Holy Spirit in your life.
