Soul Care
Soul Care is a ministry that was first conceived in my mind years ago. I have always had the desire to give back to my community and help youth in general and Armenian youth in particular. God has brought this desire into reality as Arevik and I started to attend the COA CHURCH in Glendale. One Sunday at the conclusion of the service as we were leaving the church Daniel Albarian (Pastor of COA CHURCH) literally grabbed my wrist and asked to know who we were.
“It is our aim to assist youth to understand their purpose in life…”
As we started talking he learned that I was a counselor and had a desire to work with youth in a Christian setting. He quickly agreed that they had a need for someone who had my credentials and that their associate pastor in charge of the youth ministries was going to be leaving. That is when he asked me to write a proposal to the elders to start a part time ministry through the church to target youth who needed spiritual guidance. That is how Soul Care has come into being.
