Journey to the Cross – A Lenten Devotion Series

This year’s Lenten season was a time of spiritual renewal for the Christian Outreach Armenian Church (COAC). The church launched a seven-week video devotion series titled “Journey to the Cross,” focusing on Jesus Christ’s intentional path toward Jerusalem, where He would offer the sacrificial act of redemption on the cross.

The series was anchored in Luke 9:51:

“As the time approached for Him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.”

With this verse, the journey began—one that COAC followed week by week, reflecting not only on the Lord’s steps, but also on its own walk of faith. Each week highlighted a specific spiritual theme:

🔹 Week 1 — The Call to Follow
🔹 Week 2 — The Call to Persevere
🔹 Week 3 — The Call to Serve
🔹 Week 4 — The Call to Holiness
🔹 Week 5 — The Call to Prayer
🔹 Week 6 — The Call to Grow in God’s Word
🔹 Week 7 — The Call to Behold the Cross

Each devotional was accompanied by a video, a prayer, and Bible readings—allowing the church to deeply engage with the significance of Lent. This became not only a season of learning but also one of unity and spiritual strengthening through prayer.

Christian Outreach Armenian Church once again reaffirmed its commitment to creating opportunities for spiritual growth among its members. The Journey to the Cross series served as a reminder that the cross is not the end—it is the central turning point on the path to Jesus’ victorious resurrection.
